Our Summer started with Gig On The Green - a festival based in Hertfordshire raising money for The Teenage Cancer Trust, BGGC supplied a 35kva with cable and distribution, this was to power their stage, lighting and sound. From here on, the festivals just kept on coming!
FESTIVALS, FESTIVALS EVERYWHERE!
Goatfest, Broomstock and Jocafest to mention a few! We received a last minute call in August from the organisers of Wilkestock who wanted BGGC to supply generators, cable, distribution and install. With only a few days to organise the kit and engineers around the jobs we already had confirmed, the festival went without a hitch!
T'WAS THE SEASON TO GET MARRIED!
We were contacted at the beginning of June by a local wedding venue and asked to supply two 45kva generators on AMF set up for their wedding season until the end of September to provide power to the marquees, ti-pi's and any other infrastructure or their clients had required.
We have also worked directly with clients and marquee companies who require power for their special day, with our staff advising what size generators and kit would be needed to ensure their day runs smoothly.
LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!
We supplied a 60kva generator along with one of our 1000ltr road tow fuel bowser to a Roman Verulamiam for a 3-week open air theatre event, we also supplied and dealt with the events fuel management throughout the entire hire, meaning they had one less thing to think about!
Throughout December, we have been working with local Councils & independent organisations across Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire providing power and temporary lighting to their seasonal events and Christmas light switch on's.
REMEMBER, REMEMBER THE 5TH OF NOVEMBER!
We are super proud to have been main supplier for the Hitchin Fireworks this year, supplying stage, lighting and power with set up to one of the biggest firework displays in Hertfordshire.
Whilst providing power to the various catering trucks and stage, we also also provided Tower Lights for the grounds walkways and public areas along with UV floodlighting for that extra dramatic effect.
IT CAN'T ALL BE FUN AND FESTIVITIES
We don't only supply for festivals, events and weddings, we also supply for site requirements - whether it's demolition, new builds or ground works we can do it.This year we have supplied one of our 250kva generators and 2000ltr tanks to a site in South West London for a new housing development, this generator remains on hire now with BGGC taking care of fuel management throughout the hire as well.
In September, we were approached by one of our regular clients who run a wedding venue in Essex, the venue is also their home. Their permanent power supply can be temperamental so they decided to purchase a generator as a backup, we advised which generator would suit their needs and thus provided a 150kva open, we supplied in time for their winter wedding season to start, no black outs or candle lit dinners anymore!

It's been a busy start for The Big Green Generator Company and 2020 is looking to be even bigger and better! With GREENER equipment due, GREEN projects on the go, and one of our biggest Summer events so far in the pipeline, it is going to be a huge year for us.

In the New Year we will be launching our Carbon Offsetting project, at BGGC we love our world and wish to do our bit to nurture it. This is a really exciting project and we can't wait to share it with you!
